What is TOP?
TOP stands for “Technical Onboarding Program”. It is a program the Yaskawa Partner Support team has developed to quickly get people who are new to the Yaskawa product line up to speed on the features and use of Motoman robots. Assuming attendees have a decent understanding of robot programming and concepts, these workshops offer a quick introduction to our technology instead of days or weeks of more formalized training or hands on experience.
We aren’t trained educators, but we speak your language and prioritize our time with you towards hands-on use of a pendant versus lectures and slides.
What topics are covered?
We have the following workshops available. Click on the links below for more information.
What about other topics?
We are working on other topics and considering shorter “modules” that may only last a few hours or a half-day. What would you like us to develop? Let us know! Send your thoughts to partnersupport@motoman.com.
Who should attend?
We assume attendees will have prior hands-on experience with industrial robots of some brand. We do not cover basic concepts.
Where are sessions held?
We are currently scheduling classes in our Rochester Hills (Detroit) Michigan office and our Austin, Texas office. Classes run from 9:00am to 4:00pm with a 1-hour lunch (breaks as needed.)
When are TOP workshops offered?
We try to offer at least one session per month, but availability depends on timing of other projects, trade shows and the needs of our partners. See our schedules and sign up to attend using the links above under “Topics”.
