What is TOP?
TOP stands for “Technical Onboarding Program”. It is a program the Yaskawa Partner Support team has developed to quickly get people who are new to the Yaskawa product line up to speed on the features and use of Motoman robots. Assuming attendees have a decent understanding of robot programming and concepts, this two day overview is a quick introduction to our technology instead of weeks of more formalized training or hands on experience.
We aren’t trained educators, but we speak your language and prioritize our time with you towards hands-on use of a pendant versus lectures and slides.
When is TOP offered?
We try to offer at least one session per month, but availability depends on timing of other projects, trade shows and the needs of our partners. Check out the calendar link below for details.
Where are sessions held?
We are currently scheduling classes in our Rochester Hills (Detroit) Michigan office and our Austin, Texas office. Class runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm with a 1-hour lunch (breaks as needed.)
Who should attend?
We assume attendees will have prior hands-on experience with industrial robots of some brand. We do not cover basic concepts.
What topics are covered?
You can see our agenda here, We are not able to add specific topics to a class, but allow plenty of time for Q&A and are often able to demonstrate or work with other Motoman features before or after classes start.
